KEY QUOTES:

[6:34] One of the most important things for me is having a good CRM system and saying how am I going to target these people, how am I going to stay in touch with them, let them know what I am doing. In particular with high-net-worth people, if I don’t have a personal relationship with them, they’re judging me based on some of the shiny stuff like is my website easy to use. So, I built the CRM the way high-net- worth investors would want it.

[10:49] I start to categorize the investors based on whether they are the Growth investor and the Income investor. I’ve got some investors that would be happy to just get a solid rental income forever. The other one is they like to build something, they’re okay if there’s no distribution while we are building the project and when there’s a liquidation event, then they want to be paid up for the rest of what they took during the project, I call them the Growth investor.

[18:30] When I reach out to people, they know that we’re gonna stay in our focus area of expertise because they’re gonna write checks and make investments if they know that you’re going to be successful. They believe that you know that area and that you have an edge there.

[28:03] Our goal as a Syndicator is for our investors to have a good experience and have this money come back to them so that they can redeploy it to the next project. That’s probably the part of the whole cycle that I’m most excited about is people having good experience and wanting to invest in the next deal.

[29:20] When I say I want investors to have a good experience with us, it simply means that I along with my sponsor are gonna deliver what we say we’re gonna do. We underwrite conservatively and try to be as realistic as possible. So, achieving the rate of return, having good communication, so they know what’s going on is important. I want to be proactively reaching out to them to let them know what's happening.
