Host Ed Madison is a professor and researcher at the University of Oregon and serve as Executive Director of the Journalistic Learning Initiative, a non-profit organization that empowers middle and high schools students discover their voice, improve academic outcomes, and become self-directed learners through project-based storytelling. Teaching students to become effective communicators is at the heart of JLI’s work.
