We just wrapped up the December Ink 2 Screen Screenwriting Challenge. If you are just finding my podcast, I run a monthly short screenwriting challenge where writers that sign up get 5 days to write a new 5-page screenplay based on a prompt sent out on the first day of the challenge. The winner gets $150 and every writer that submits a completed script gets detailed feedback. This is all included in the $15 entry fee. You can check it all out at www.thescriptmistress.com/ink2screen. The January challenge will run from January 18-22 and registration will open up on Monday. Don’t miss out on writing a new short script every month in 2023!
A crucial part of any screenplay is the main character’s growth and evolution from beginning to end. This is their character arc.
What is a Character Arc?
In simplified terms…
a character arc is the transformation or growth that a character has over the entirety of a screenplay.
