Kris is joined by TK, host of There Was an Idea… a Marvel Cinematic Universe Podcast, to discuss Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man. They discuss how much nostalgia factors into peoples’ love for a movie that doesn’t really hold up. Kris and TK also cover the glaring problems with the film’s script, and particularly MJ’s character in regards to women’s representation as a whole. But they do praise the performances of Willem Dafoe & JK Simmons, who are simply too good for this movie.
Spider-Man falls outside of the MCU proper. It stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Willem Dafoe, JK Simmons, Cliff Robertson, and Rosemary Harris.
