We learn more about John Walker just as Bucky learns of Walker’s new role as “Captain America.” Bucky is furious over Sam’s decision, leading to a tense reunion. Unwilling to deal with his mounting emotions, Sam tables the discussion & the two head to Munich to track the Flag Smashers. Sam & Bucky quickly discover that the group is made up entirely of super soldiers. Walker & Hoskins arrive to help but fail to apprehend Karli Morgenthau & her team. Walker suggests they all team up, but Sam & Bucky decline. Bucky instead takes Sam to Baltimore in hopes of enlisting the aid of Isaiah Bradley, a Black super soldier whom the U.S. government brutalized & kept secret. Bradley refuses to help, and Bucky is subsequently arrested for missing a therapy session. Walker uses his authority to get Bucky released & the terms of his pardon eased. A desperate Walker pitches the team-up idea once more, with no success. Walker lashes out, making it clear that Sam & Bucky are now his enemies. And while Sam & Bucky are deciding to visit Helmut Zemo, the Flag Smashers are fleeing from the true villain of the show: Power Broker.
