We see what’s been happening outside of the Westview bubble. After returning from “the blip,” Captain Monica Rambeau returns to work at S.W.O.R.D. Along with FBI Agent Jimmy Woo, Monica is sent to investigate the Westview mystery in New Jersey. However, Monica is immediately sucked through some sort of portal & into the town. Within hours, SWORD sets up a military base outside of Westview & recruits experts to try & figure out what is happening. Astrophysicist Darcy Lewis quickly determines that life in Westview is being broadcast in the style of old sitcoms. Agent Woo & Dr. Lewis work together to try & identify residents, make contact with Wanda, & understand who or what is behind this broadcast. After another agent is sucked into Westview, Monica Rambeau reappears outside the portal. She was expelled from Westview by Wanda, whose mental state appears to be deteriorating, especially when she sees a zombified Vision. The episode ends ominously with Wanda & Vision having a tense night with their new twins and Monica relaying that Wanda is controlling the people of Westview.
WandaVision kicks off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Disney+ series stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings, & Randall Park.
