Dr. James Lee and I discuss empowering dental colleagues and fellow leaders, "vote yes on 2" win in Massachusetts, and involvement in organized dentistry.
Dr. James E. Lee, New Dentist Committee chair, is a general dentist practicing alongside his father, Dr. Ted Lee, in Malden, Massachusetts. Dr. Lee leads the ADA New Dentist Committee, a national committee of the ADA Board of Trustees composed of seventeen members representing each of the ADA’s regional districts. The ADA New Dentist Committee helps to strengthen the new dentist voice, to develop leaders within the profession, and to coordinate with state and local dental societies to connect and support new dentists.
Dr. Lee has previously served as Massachusetts Dental Society Board of Trustees secretary and as East Middlesex District Dental Society trustee. He has received fellowships in the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Lee was awarded the MDS 10 Under 10 Award in 2020 and received his dental degree from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
