With 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple coming out this month, Zach and Chris checked out another movie that features a "rage virus", 1988's Primal Rage, for the first Everything Action Commentary of 2026.
A joint Italian-American production, Primal Rage stars Patrick Lowe as Sam Nash, a Florida International University student and reporter/photographer for the school paper, alongside his friend Frank Duffy (Mitch Watson). While investigating Dr. Ethridge's (Bo Svenson) lab, Duffy is bitten by a baboon that Ethridge was experimenting on, and slowly turns into a rage-fueled zombie. Spreading the virus to his date, Debbie (Sarah Buxton), Sam and his girlfriend, Lauren (Cheryl Arutt), have to track them down and work with Dr. Ethridge to find a cure before the school's Halloween Bash becomes a massacre. While watching the movie, Zach and Chris discuss the 80s sitcom-style opening, the insane trio of school bullies, the elaborate Halloween costumes, the crazy soundtrack, and more.
You can watch Primal Rage on Tubi, Philo, The Roku Channel, and more. You can also watch the version below from YouTube and sync it up with our commentary to watch along.
