Feminism. Equality. Women vs Men.
Merriam-Webster defines Feminism as the “belief in and advocacy of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes expressed especially through organized activity on behalf of women's rights and interests.”
Are we really equal or does the concept need to be redefined?
In the episode, Dr. Rachel Pope is joined by Juliana Lunguzi, a former member of parliament and midwife from Malawi in sub-Saharan Africa. They discuss the status of feminism in Africa from a Malawian perspective on how to choose our battles in the fight for equality and keep the conversation going until the stigma subsides.
