Farah Bishara aka DJ Bonita loves music, especially hip hop, is a Kuwait-based DJ who also owns Vinyl Destination, a local record store. She started pursuing her passion for mixing hip-hop tracks for a living around in 2014 and has pushed boundaries and stereotypes about women working in the music industry. When she first stepped foot on the scene “People didn’t understand why a Kuwaiti woman was mixing hip-hop for a living, and it often made me second-guess my career choice” she says, but that didn’t stop her!
