Paul made a powerful and unforgettable statement in Philippians 1:21 when he said, “For me to live is Christ…”
I am not sure that we always live for Christ. What would you say that you are living for? Someone may even be wondering to themselves, “What does it even mean, ‘to live for Christ’?”
In Colossians 2:6-7 the same author, Paul, defines what he means by living for the Lord Jesus Christ. In two short verses, he summarizes so much of the Christ-centered, Christ-filled life. In these verses, each phrase and each clause bring such clarity to the table. Let’s see how one can live for Christ.
6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Trusted in Christ
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord…
Trekking in Christ
… so walk in Him…
Tethered to Christ
Rooted…in Him…
Being Transformed into Christlikeness
…built up in Him…
Testifying to Christ
established in the faith…
Being Taught about Christ
…just as you were taught…
Thanking Christ
…abounding in thanksgiving.
