Most of us who are parents have had to tell our kids “no" at some point while raising them. One such case was in 2 Chronicles 11:1-17 when God vetoed the plan of a king, Rehoboam. Surprisingly, he actually took it well and didn’t get upset when he was overruled and told to stand down. How would we react if we were a king and were told that we may not do something?
This podcast will prepare listeners just in case something they would like to do, or something they are praying and asking for is met with disapproval from the Lord. He doesn’t just “rubber stamp” everything we are claiming is a good idea. This time let’s consider, "What IF God Says No?” from 2 Chronicles 11:1-17. We need to know what we should focus on if/when the Lord denies our proposal. Rehoboam and others mentioned in this text made excellent decisions in response to what they learned was God’s preference instead of their own preferences.
