Today, we shall look at Luke 14:15-24 and explore the Parable of the Great Banquet. Jesus was dining at the home of a Pharisee at his invitation. This was actually His third lunch invitation from a Pharisee (7:36; 11:37; 14:1). Bible scholars say it is likely that this meal took place after the worship service in the local synagogue. It could be titled, “Will You Be Dining with Jesus?” Or, we could go with “A Clarification about Salvation”.
