With the accolades she had earned in the pageant world alongside her bit roles in increasingly more well-known films, it seemed as though Tammy Lynn Leppert’s career was just about to skyrocket. That is, until something shifted and she began to grow increasingly paranoid— convinced that someone was out to kill her. Feeling that Tammy’s fears were delusions, her family sought help. But those fears soon seemed very real when, on July 6th, 1983, Tammy left home with a friend and never returned.
