Today Griffey and Dandino press play another haunted tape in Ringu 2. They discuss the film's interesting approach to sequel story telling changing many of the mechanics of it's predecessor, the introduction of science to battle Sadako, and the idea of the tape going "viral" as it enters our collective minds. While this movie goes on a very different journey than the original, it manages to deepen the lore and add new mechanics that make it a Messed Up gem.
Synopsis: Reiko takes Yôichi into hiding when her son begins to display frightening powers. Meanwhile, Mai Takano and the authorities begin a desperate search for them, as the mysterious Ring curse spreads.
