Student loan debt is a MASSIVE problem in America…a $1.68 trillion problem! 44.7 million people currently have student loan debt, averaging $37,584 in outstanding debt balance per borrower. As part of the COVID-19 relief efforts, the federal government has put a pause on student loan payments, has stopped collections on defaulted loans and set interest rates to 0%. Further, President-Elect Biden has discussed potentially canceling up to $10,000 in student loans per borrower.
