In this episode we talk about the ketogenic diet, types of keto, who it is for, risk to be aware of and how to reverse out of keto.

First we talk about the obesity trend and give you a movement challenge! We decided to do this because we see so many people struggling to get daily movement. Movement plays a huge role in health and obesity. Currently 72% of men and 63% of women are overweight or obese and it is estimated that in 2020, 83 percent of men and 72 percent of women will be overweight or obese.

4 Types of Keto
Standard Keto - Macronutrient ratio: 75% fat,15-20% protein, 5-10% carbs

Targeted Keto - Macronutrient ratio: 65-70% fat, 20% protein, 10-15% carbs

Cyclical Keto - Macronutrient ratio: 75% fat, 15-20% protein, 5-10% carbs on keto days; 25% fat, 25% protein and 50% carbs on off days.

High-Protein Keto - Macronutrient ratio: 60-65% fat, 30% protein, 5-10% carb
