Lydia Dominguez currently serves as a technical sergeant in the United States Air Force. She also holds a bachelor of arts degree in business management and has ten years of experience in human resources. She relies on more than a decade of personal experience, as well as the stories of others, to educate and encourage abused women to escape their abusers and start the recovery process. During her own twelve-year physical, emotionally, and financially abusive relationship, she attempted to escape seven times. Each time, Lydia was determined never to go back—until she did. After becoming free for good, she wrote Don’t Turn Back, a book she hopes will promote empowerment, healing, and forgiveness for women in abusive relationships.
