Football Nation is proud to present the second episode of our new podcast with The Sports-Casters. Hosts Steve Bennett and Don Russ interview the biggest names in sports media and pop culture.
The guest on tonight's podcast is Dave Dameshek from the NFL Network. Dave is a pioneer in the podcasting industry having hosted Dameshek on Demand for ESPN, The Dave Dameshek Show powered by Accuscore, Dave of Thunder for the Ace Broadcasting Network, and his current show the Dave Dameshek Football Program for NFL.COM. Dave also writes for the highly succesfull late night talkshow, "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
On the podcast, Steve and Don talk with Dave about the large amount of creeps and jerks that seem to be running amuck in the world of football, the NFL draft, and shamlessly plugs a converstation he had with former Bengals wide reciever T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
Among other things, Dameshek says:
-The Steelers are likely to re-sign Mike Wallace for around 9 million dollars
-The best way to get into the sports journalism business is to write every day
-Gregg Williams used little common sense when speaking in front of cameras that were fiming a docmentary
-The Penguins stand for all that is good and the Flyers stand for all that is evil
-Bracketology is a sham
Steve and Don kick off each podcast with "3 Things" but manage to tackle so much more in this week's segment: Gregg Williams is not likely to coach in the NFL any time soon. Could the Colts really pass on Andrew Luck to pick RGIII? Warren Sapp has a lot of sneakers and not very much money. Bobby Petrino is out as the head football coach at Arkansas and much more.
