For now, there’s 8 teams, 7 games, and just three more weeks of NFL action for the Season (let’s be honest no one cares about the Pro Bowl).
This weekend’s games are an excellent combination of great offense vs. a great defense (Saints-Seahawks), defensive battles (49ers-Panthers), division rivalries (Chargers-Broncos), and a renewal of a legendary post-season rivalry (Colts-Patriots). That’s what makes the NFL Playoffs compelling, dramatic, and entertaining, these are the games we want to watch and these are the teams that we want to see.
Adding a 7th seed to the playoffs would NOT make the Playoffs more compelling and yet that is seemingly the direction Roger Goodell and the NFL Owners are taking us toward. Much to Bill and Todd’s dismay, a 7th seed will make the playoffs in the not so distant future. Our two hosts discuss the Positive and (mostly) Negative aspects of bringing in an additional team to the post-season.
Want to go to the Super Bowl but can’t afford tickets? Just sue the NFL. That’s what a New Jersey man decided to do after shelling out $4,000 for two Super Bowl Tickets. Our FN Legal expert, James DeStefano, joins us to discuss the Class Action lawsuit.
And of course we get into game previews and predictions for the NFL Divisional Playoffs with some help from Kerry Byrne from ColdHardFootballFacts.com.
