This week Shawn & Kenny went into Autism Awareness month with a special and transparent conversation to discuss the spectrum disorder through the lenses of a caregiver and specialists' perspective. They welcome both Shemika Paul, an outstanding and experienced Autism Mom with many other hats and Charles Robinson, who has over two decades under his belt as a Pediatric Cognitive therapist but shifted his talents to be an ABA specialist to the show. As always, the FCP crew continue to ask the tough questions surrounding various topics on Autism that just are not brought to the forefront as often as they should be. They go on to discuss evaluation triggers, the possible downside if symptoms are not treated within the early stages of life, balancing self-care in the process, dealing with as well as the importance of having family in your corner and what you can do to help spread awareness on your end.
