TRUE WORSHIPERS
What is the one thing that God desires from us and we have the ability to freely give it or withhold it from Him?
Why is worship so important to God?
1. You are a worshipper
2. You will become like what you worship.
“It behooves us to be careful what we worship, for what we are worshipping we are becoming.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
(John 4:23) “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
3 Qualities of a True Worshiper
1. WORSHIP WITH AWE.
(Revelation 1:16-17a) “In his right hand he held seven stars…His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead…”

(Hebrews 12:28-29) “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”

(2 Samuel 6:21, 22) “David said to Michal…’I will celebrate before the LORD. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes…’”

3. WORSHIP WITH INTIMACY.
(Psalm 27:4) “One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.”

(Psalm 63:2-5) “I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.”
