Description

(Proverbs 17:24 GN)  “An intelligent person aims at wise action, but a fool starts off in many directions.”

(Jeremiah 6:16)  This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Message Title: Faith

God wants me to move within His purposes.

(Matthew 22:36-37)  “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?  Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment.”

(Colossians 1:28)  “We proclaim him(trying to reach people), admonishing(hooking up with each other in small groups..working through our issues) and teaching(we are growing through our teaching and seeing God’s character develop in our lives) everyone with all wisdom, (Why?....why have MOVEMENT in our FAITH? ) so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.”

(Matthew 5:48) “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Faith Questions:

1.    Am I worshiping freely?

(Luke 19:37-40 Message)  “The whole crowd of disciples burst into enthusiastic praise over all the mighty works they had witnessed.  Some Pharisees from the crowd told him, “Teacher, get your disciples under control!”  But he said, “If they kept quiet, the stones would do it for them.”

2. Am I sharing Christ passionately?

(2 Corinthians 5:19-20)  “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.”

 3. Am I connecting regularly?

(Romans 12:10)  “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love…”

 4.  Am I growing daily?

(Hebrews 6:1)  “Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity…”

(1 Timothy 4:7 MSG)  “Stay clear of silly stories that get dressed up as religion. Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please!”

 5. Am I serving effectively?

(1 Peter 4:10)  “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

(Philippians 3:12)  “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”

(Mark 8:35 LB)  “If you insist on saving your life, you will lose it. Only those who throw away their lives for My sake and for the sake of the Good News will ever know what it means to really live.”
