(Proverbs 17:24 GN) “An intelligent person aims at wise action, but a fool starts off in many directions.”
God wants me to move within His purposes.
Title of My Message: Friendships Part 2
Friendship Principals:
1. Start with yourself.
(Matthew 7 Message) “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults--unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own… Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them.”
2. Believe the best about people.
(1 Corinthians 13:7 LB) “If you love someone…you will always believe in him, and always expect the best of him…”
3. Always build up – never tear down.
(Ephesians 4:29) “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:11) “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…”
4. Help people win.
(Psalm 18:35) “You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great.”
5. Stay faithful.
(1 Corinthians 13:7-8 Php) “Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. Love never fails.”
(Proverbs 20:6) “Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find?”
