Description

(Hebrews 12:2) (MSG) Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever.

(Hebrews 12:3) (MSG) When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

Title of Message:  In My Marriage

(Matthew 19:26) (NIV84) Jesus said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

A person on their face before God will never fall from that position.

How do we fight for our marriage in the fire?

1.    Know the REAL cause of the fire.

(Ephesians 6:12) (NLT) For weare not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

(1 Peter 5:8) (NLT) Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

(John 10:10) (NIV84) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

2.    Take responsibility during the fire.

(Romans 12:18) (NIV84) If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

3.    Extinguish the fire

Encouragement.

(Philippians 2:1-2) (NIV84) If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

(Philippians 2:3-4) (NIV84) Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
