The Title of message is: My Church Loves People.
(Daniel 6:3) “Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.”
Agape = unconditional love.
Love means, living for the other person’s good.
(1 Corinthians 14:1 LB) “Make love your greatest aim…”
Love is intentional.
(1 John 3:18) “Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”
(Romans 5:8) “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
(John 15:13) “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”
Why Love Other People?
1. Because you are loved.
(Genesis 12:2 NLT) “I will bless you…and you will be a blessing to others.”
2. Because we are created to love.
(1 John 7-10) (MSG) “My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can't know him if you don't love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but thathe loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they've done to our relationship with God.
The goal of salvation is not reserved for heaven only. It’s for you to love as many people as you can on earth before going there.
3. Because other’s need our love.
(1 John 4:11-12) (MSG) “My dear, dear friends, if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other. No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and his love becomes complete in us—perfect love!”
(Matthew 22:27-40) (MSG) “Jesus said, "'Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' These two commands are pegs; everything in God's Law and the Prophets hangs from them."”
(Ephesians 3:17-18) (LB) “I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your heart, living within you as you trust Him. May your roots go deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love, and may you be able to feel and understand…how long, wide, deep, and high His love really is, and experience this love for yourselves…”
