Description

(1 Corinthians 2:3-5) (MSG) I was unsure of how to go about this, and felt totally inadequate—I was scared to death, if you want the truth of it—and so nothing I said could have impressed you or anyone else. But the Message came through anyway.

(1 Corinthians 2:3-5) (MSG) God’s Spirit and God’s power did it, which made it clear that your life of faith is a response to God’s power, not to some fancy mental or emotional footwork by me or anyone else.

Today's Theme: We Will Not Forget

(Psalm 103:2) (NIV) Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

(Psalm 103:3-5) (NIV) …who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

(Romans 8:31) (MSG) So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?

(2 Timothy 1:6) (NLT) This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.

(2 Timothy 1:6-7) (NKJV)  For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Extra Benefits:

1. Power

(Colossians 1:11) (NLT) We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need.

2. Love

(1 John 4:18) (NLT) Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

3. Sound Mind

(Psalm 139:17) (NLT) How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.  They cannot be outnumbered!
