Description

In this episode I walk us through a transition model to help us deepen our understanding of how we navigate, adjust and move through change. I also discuss what happens in our bodies and minds when we go through change.

Invitation for the Week: Take a moment and consider one thing you could do that would feel supportive to you this week. What would really serve you this week?

The Transition Model by William Bridges

Phase 1: Endings

Acknowledge what has ended or changed in your life and identify the losses. Also asking: What needs do I have that will no longer be met and how can I meet those needs in other ways?

Phase 2: Neutral Zone

Be mindful of your attitude in this phase by reminding ourselves that this is a time of reorienting, not a time of meaningless waiting – even if it doesn’t look like it from where you stand right now. It can be a good time to question, experiment, brainstorm, try things out and get creative

Phase 3: New Beginnings

To nurture the New Beginnings phase take time to understand the transition process and identify where you are in it. Another thing you can do in this phase is to be patient as it unfolds.
