What in the world does that mean? Well, it means we
often find ourselves embracing the familiar, even if
it's painful...because sometimes familiar is more
comforting than being unsettled with a change.

I speak from first hand experience having been in pain
for 7 years and then when I found a remedy to free me
from that pain, ironically, I found myself missing it.
This totally freaked me out. How in the world could I
possibly miss being in pain! Duh, it didn't make sense
to me...

And pain from depression is a similar 'friend' that
attaches itself to you and although part of you wants
out of the pain and debilitation of depression, it's
far cozier in the world of familiar than trying to fight
our way back.

But I'm here to tell you that if you want to live life
to the fullest and you make the decision to fight through
your darkness of depression and pain, wherever it is coming
from...be ready to release 'your friend', your long time
companion and know this new feeling is a better friend
and will encourage you to stay strong.

Please share this life lesson with someone you care about.
Hearing someone else's story has inspired me many times and
maybe, just maybe someone you know needs to hear mine.

And thank you, from the bottom of my heart for listening,
today!
