The two key verses are Matthew 1:1 and Matthew 27:37.
Matthew 1:1 - "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham."
Matthew 27:37 - "And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews."
In Matthew 7, the Lord is the Builder who is building upon a rock, as he unfolds Kingdom teaching to His own. The Lord moves from the personal realm to how Kingdom principles apply and how Kingdom living is to be carried out.
A series of contrasts are used to illustrate what's important in the Kingdom of God and what it means to be a part of that Kingdom.
