(This first hour consists of Gary familiarizing himself with the controls
and switches of the control board)
Gary kibitzes with the all night DJ about 15 minutes before his program begins.
Gary is early on his first day. It is obvious the DJ is awe struck by Gary.
The 6 AM news ends and Gary begins his tenure at WHK Radio.
9 minutes past 6 AM. Gary dates the program Monday July 7, 1975.
Gary tells of his boat trip across Lake Erie to Canada over the weekend.
Gary is surprised the key fit the door to WHK! He then reads a spot for the WHK Country Album.
Gary talks about his residence in a quaint neighborhood just east of Bratenahl,
adjacent to the easterly sewage plant, 5 minutes from Hough by the miracle mile E. 55th Street.

Ohio State Representative Clarence Brown says the most gasoline can go up in the
next few years is 8 cents, and doubts the prediction of 75-cent gasoline will ever come about!
Gary jumps the gun before Ken is finished. Gary reads the sports scores.
He then reads the weather.
It’s going to rain, the lawn’s dry, and my wife’s pregnant!
And someone’s ripping off my car.
Gary talks about the good people at WHK.
He got his first job at a country music station in Fresno for 95 cents an hour in 1954.
