We join Gary touting the talent of some of his former great
producers. Gary talks about the Browns with audio clips of
coach Bud Carson.
Gary asks his listeners “who do you believe” Terry Pluto
or Bob Dolgan? Several listeners chime-in.
Gary claims to be Number 1 in the afternoon, and for
Joel Rose to write when he finds work!
Many mentions of Pete Franklin are peppered throughout
the conversations.
Caller says to call Don Imus. Gary says he has Imus’ number.
Gary quotes Bruce Drennan that broadcasting is the worst
business in the world. Gary then says broadcasting is the greatest in the world.
Then goes on to say (tongue-in-cheek) there’s people in it like John Webster, Bingo Bailey, and Liz Richards, but that don’t make it bad.
Some radio ratings discussion take place. Gary claims he is going to take no prisoners. Gary explains people in his industry live and die by the ratings. And he gets paid according to ratings.
Gary states a fact that he holds the “high water mark”
in Cleveland’s radio ratings, a 22 share in morning drive.
Then he goes on to talk about his radio experience in
New York City.
This is Gary Dee speaking at length about, and to Bruce Drennan.
“My Name’s Gary Dee. I don’t saddle-up to come in second!
This time I’m taking no prisoners”!
Time for callers to chime in with comments.
Then Gary talks to Jeff Sindelar who replaced
Bruce Drennan after Bruce was fired from 3WE.
