Attorney Hyung Choi joins Greg Larson and John Salskov to talk about the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”). Hyung is an experienced civil litigation attorney practicing personal injury and consumer protection at Choi & Fabian, PLC. Hyung, Greg, & John start out by defining the FCRA and permissible uses of credit reports, including uses by prospective employers. Hyung points out that the federal government pulls credit reports before issuing security clearances because bad credit may put the government at risk for blackmailing by criminal organizations. John’s credit report said he was married to a woman other than his current girlfriend. They also talk about what can be done if your credit report includes inaccurate information.
