Joy is the end and the means

Sometimes I think I should just go ahead and rename the podcast to, “The joy podcast” 🙂

Because, it seems like that’s what I talk about so frequently on the show.

But, as you already know, there’s a good reason for that.

Joy is our essential nature — our true nature.

It’s also what we need more of in the world.

And, the only way it comes into the world is through us.

Lot’s of of spiritually-minded teachers remind us of the importance of cultivating joy in our daily lives.

After reading Eckhart Tolle’s, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose, one of the messages that stuck with me was him sharing the three essential qualities for a happy life.  He says they are joy, enthusiasm, and acceptance.

Abraham-Hicks tells us, “the purpose of life is joy.”

And, a few weeks ago I dedicated an entire podcast to joy, and how to find it.

In that episode I shared the ideas of some masters and their thoughts on how to find joy (hint: it’s in the service of others).

In this two-part series, I’m going to offer some real-world ways you can apply the incredible benefits of living in the spirit of joy to enhance our experience.

In this episode we’re focusing on the idea that we can only arrive at joy if we are in the spirit of joy every step of our journey.

In tomorrow’s episode, we’re going to look at how to apply the Konmari method to our work and life in general.

Quote of the Week:

You are free to think thoughts of worry or joy, and whatever you choose will attract the same kind back to you.  Worry attracts worry.  Joy attracts joy.” ~ Rhonda Byrne
