We continued our series Heroes by beginning to look at the three theological virtues: hope, faith, and love. Hope is a popular word today, used in songs, poems, and advertising - but what is real hope? Where does it come from. We looked at Romans 5:1-11 and the granddaddy of all heroes, Superman, to explore hope. Our greatest hope is not in our own goodness, genius, or positive intentions, but in the good news of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.
Our goodness lets us down, but God's grace lets us hope.
