We concluded our series Heroes by looking at the last and greatest of the virtues: love. There is no greater example of love in Scripture than the cross, so we explored Matthew 27:11-55, and discussed what a Jesus-shaped love looks like in conversation with the classic DC heroine Wonder Woman. In the 2017 hit film Wonder Woman, the title character puts it well: "Only love can save the world." For followers of Jesus, that is the story of the cross.
