- ALL followers of Jesus are commissioned to make disciples:  Matthew 28:18-20

 

       - GO:  In His power. v. 18

       - GO:  For His purpose. v. 19

       - GO;  Assured of His presence. v. 20

 

- What is a Disciple?  Matthew 4:19

 

        - "Follow Me."  A disciple is someone who KNOWS and FOLLOWS JESUS.

        - "and I will make you."  A disciple is someone who is being CHANGED by JESUS.

       - "fishers of men."  A disciple is someone who is ON MISSION with JESUS.

 

- How to make disciples?  Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

 

    One Method:  A CORD of THREE:

 

    - A CORD of THREE is hard work but it is good work. v. 9

 

    - A CORD of THREE is helping a brother in trouble. v. 10

 

    - A CORD of THREE is comforting a brother in need.  v. 11

 

    - A CORD of THREE is protecting your brother against danger.  v. 12

 

    - We meet every two weeks for 1.5 hours.  

          - How are you doing?

          - Time in God's Word.

          - Praying for one another.

 

A CORD of THREE strands is not quickly torn apart.
