- Ephesians 6:10-12

 

- STAND FIRM = is a military term that speaks of holding your ground while under attack.

 

 

- STAND FIRM in the strength of the Lord.  v. 10

 

- You can be greatly used of God when you acknowledge and admit you can't do something in your strength and ability.

 

- In Jesus, you have every resource you need to STAND FIRM.

 

- How is this accomplished?  Putting on the full armor of God.  v. 11a

 

 

- STAND FIRM against the schemes of the devil.  v. 11-12

 

- The devil opposes everything God does.

 

- The struggle is real.  It is a life and death, hand-to-hand combat against the enemy.

 

- The struggle is not against a person.

 

- The struggles is against

 

- rulers & powers = high ranking demons

 

- world forces of this darkness = demons of nations and political systems that oppose God.

 

- spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places = demons involved in the most vile and perverted sins. 

 

 

So STAND FIRM: In the strength of the Lord

Against the schemes of the devil
