How many of you struggle with remembering things?

 

- The Point of Remembrance:  (Luke 22:1-13)

 

      Passover was the most sacred feast of the Jewish religious year. (Exodus 12)

 

      Disobedience is associated with the forgetfulness of God.

      Obedience is the result of remembering Him.

 

 

- The Power of Remembrance:  (Luke 22: 14-20)

 

      The Lord's Supper is a celebration.

 

      - It causes us to remember what Jesus did for us on the cross.

      - It causes us to celebrate His victory over death in His resurrection.

      - It causes us to proclaim the Lord's death until He returns. 

 

           "For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the

            Lord's death until He comes."  1 Corinthians 11:26

 

- Let's participate in the Lord's Supper:  Do this in Remembrance of Me.
