While on a guided tour in Scotland this past Fall, I learned about William Burke and William Hare. Together, they were responsible for The West Port Murders that saw the death of almost 20 people in the late 1820's.
In this episode, I tell the story of how these two men fell into murdering tenants of their boarding house, how they were finally caught and received the ultimate form of ironic justice, and how one of them might be connected to the Harry Potter universe (huh?!).
