Description

Insomnia is one of the most common sleep disorders worldwide. As with other sleep problems, insomnia can be treated using medications and/or therapies. One available treatment for insomnia is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In this episode, let's discuss how CBT can address the underlying issues that contribute to insomnia.

Key Points:

- What is insomnia and what are its causes and symptoms?

- What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)?

- What are the CBT tools used for treating insomnia?

Understanding the factors that cause insomnia leads to its effective treatment. While good sleep hygiene has always been a good starting point in addressing sleeping disorders, it may not always be enough to eliminate insomnia. If you're an insomniac or you know someone who is, ask your doctor about CBT and the other treatments that are available for you.
