After a long wait of unbearable weather, summer has actually arrived and whoever thinks we're going to play some chilli music is mistaken. We just do the exact opposite.
Today's guest rather swings the steel hammer and welcomes us with hard, strong industrial techno.
And with that, welcome again to the 36th edition of ESOA Podcast.
My guest today is Dahø and he comes from Jablonec in Northern Bohemia in the Czech Republic. He is clearly a pioneer and icon of the Czech techno scene and has been for many years.
He found his way behind the turntables in '95 and it should also be mentioned that he is still loyal to classic vinyl today. He continues to intensify and promote this with his own record shop, "Nula2".
In the past, he took the ambitious path behind the record players as a duo with his partner Ginger, alias " Dahø & Ginger" or "Jablonec Murder Boys", and they were known in many places.
Since 2014, he has been going his own way, and no less constructively. However, as he says himself, he no longer follows the classic techno sound, but rather his sound can now be found in the experimental industrial electronic field. Finally a mix of techno, post/punk, noise, darkwave and EBM.
