As a classic scooter rider I'm a bit partial to scootering sounds (not that this music was made for that purpose but it was soon adopted by scooterists and mods and has stayed part of the scene since), particularly original Jamaican Ska, Lovers Rock, Rock Steady and early Reggae.
I was asked to put together some music for an upcoming monthly Scooterist meeting in Melbourne, so what better place to start than Jamaica!
However, this music is not only for scooterists but for all seeking an original unadulterated sound of youth, a sound to drink, smoke and skank to, a sound that will bring some sunshine into your day where ever you may be.
So push that pork pie hat to the side, pull up dem socks and prepare to get Ska'd...
