For me it is very hard to put a Blue Note set together, as there is just so much depth, beauty, joy, talent, musicianship, space, time and 75 years of history to cross.
I have a small but every growing collection of Blue Note Lps, Cds and Mp3s and the more I listen, delve, explore and learn about Blue Note, the deeper I fall in love with this music.
There are many Jazz Djs, Collectors, Writers and Compilers of Blue Note Records that know much more than I willl ever know about the label and who can differentiate between notes, periods, eras and artists. I profess to know none of these things and select Blue Note music based on how I feel and how it sounds together.
Hence, here is my first humble attempt at a Blue Note set. It's a bit funky, you can dance to it or nod your head, it's not attempting to break any boundaries or define a period, it's just tracks that I love and hope you do to.
