Firstly thanks to all 1,237 of you who listened to 'Notes From A Blue Vault: Vol.I' and helped it get to 2nd in the Funk - Soul - Jazz chart and 4th in the Jazz chart! For me that was an overwhelming moment of acceptance on mixcloud and from you the listener.
As I said previously I am no expert on the Blue Note Records label or on the Jazz it has produced in it's remarkable 75 year history. What I do know is that the deeper I delve into it, the more and more I fall in love with the sheer beauty, depth, range, musicianship and art of the label.
I'm now the proud owner of 40 odd Blue Note Lps (an ever growing collection) and quite a few cds but again it has been extremely hard to pick tracks to play, but here is another of my humble attempts at bringing to you the joy I feel every time my stylus lands on one of my Blue Note LPs.
