I decided I should do a Trip-Hop style Artist Spotlight trilogy. I obviously wanted to focus on Portishead, since they're one of my favorite bands of all time. Then there was the duo 'Lamb' which came to me pretty late. They were definitely Trip-Hoppy, but very unorthodox in their selection of songs. They're definitely on the list. And last but not least, there's Massive Attack. I'm starting with them because their the most mainstream group. You might not know them by name, but you've definitely heard their music. Whether it's the theme song for popular TV shows like "Teardrop" from House, or "Paradise Circus" from Luther, or horror/action trailer themes like "Angel" and "Dissolved Girl", Massive Attack have made their mark in popular music culture. So let's kick off the trilogy with Massive Attack as the ambassadors to this sub-genre called Trip-Hop.
