Don't take the bait. That's what I've felt, or should I say, that's what I've thought a lot lately as I watch people take a headline and run with it, sharing their thoughts and opinions on a topic that they may or may not have all the facts on.
Those presenting the information know that if they can grab you with the headline, they've got you. But what is a headline? It's certainly not the full story. Is it truth? Or just a piece of the story, maybe a partial truth? Well, a partial truth isn't truth at all. If someone has to use a partial truth to get my attention and try to convince me of something, I want nothing to do with their story.
As we navigate things, lets remember to think on these things - whatever is true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of a good report. These things will bring peace and we could certainly use more of that in our lives.
