Reading of Matthew 3:5-17 A theologian named Augustine of Hippo, born in the mid 4th century, identified a fascinating reality respecting the Bible as a whole, and he summarised it in a saying that is still applied to this very day. “The New Testament is in the Old Testament Concealed; The Old Testament is in the New Testament Revealed” That is that much that we find in the Old Testament is either revealed or fulfilled perfectly in the New Testament.
