Description

In this week's episode, Dr. Venus breaks down the difference between a racist vs. a White Supremacist, which one Trump is, and why not knowing the difference could cost us the election in November. She breaks down the definitions of both racism and White Supremacy, and explains that Supremacy actually comes from fear and powerlessness. She provides a long list of resources on how to STOP letting White Supremacy rob you of your power, your voice, and your vote. White Supremacy has been integrated and indoctrinated throughout right in front of our face, and now is the time to wake up and use your voice to restructure the system.

Key Takeaways:

[6:03] In every historical moment of change, things feel worse before they get better. This time may feel awful and gross, but your truth is valid, and this is what change looks and feels like. The difference is, now we can see it.

[7:26] Racism is a series of prejudice, discriminatory actions, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. White Supremacy is an ideology and belief that white people are superior to those of all other races, especially the black race, and should dominate society.  Trump is not a racist, he's a White Supremacist.

[8:57] The identity of white is designed in reaction to non-white. White Supremacy is rooted in a self-identification that requires your participation in order for it to know itself as power.

[12:24] A White Supremacist needs to feel as though they are on top, and are top of mind. As long as people take the bait, they will push the emotional buttons of those around them.

[13:50] The act of having statues in the White House has nothing to do with you, it's to remind Trump and the others of their power. If the statues come down, they become invisible and they are no longer in power.

[16:41] Look at the protection, perks, and privileges that members of Congress, police, and firemen get, and you will start to see that White Supremacy is so part of the culture that not only do we not see it, we perpetuate it by dancing with it. Children and staffers of Congress members do not have to pay back their college student loans, and members of Congress have exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed, under which ordinary citizens must live. For example, they are exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment.

[27:46] Get your information from trusted sources so we aren't feeding the supremacy machine with even more attention and power.

[32:44] You were meant to be born in this time. You have the opportunity to change history, and they know it. Your life depends on it, and the same as future generations.
