This week, Dr. Venus puts on her professor hat and explains why for White Supremacists, any and every vote from a person of color, especially Black people, is seen as fraudulent and illegitimate. She explains the Three-Fifths clause, and how it was designed to keep White Men in power. This historical structure was set in place to keep Black people down and discredited. So when Trump speaks about voter fraud, it really is code for Black or people of color not being counted as an equal representation of their population.
All of this knowledge is crucial to understand Trump's blatant attack on states where the Black Vote triumphed and lost him the election. As more and more Black people exercise our constitutional rights, the more White Supremacy tries to burn democracy to the ground. But we aren't having it this time. We know our worth and our demands and are ready to use our voice and our vote towards systemic change.

[15:40] Their power is in the vote and social systems that they control. That is why Georgia is so important now. If we get the two Democrat Senate spots into position, Biden and Harris actually have a shot at implementing the things they promised.
[21:38] We can stand up for our Democracy through creating our businesses, supporting other Black businesses, and being intentional about how we spend (or save) our money. To do this, however, we must move from our feelings to looking at the structure in which America is built and operates. This can be still having your feelings and emotions, but also taking action whether it's donating, volunteering, or getting involved in grassroots organizations.
[27:37] With Trump in office, the illusion got ripped away, as White Supremacy was so clearly there and undeniable. Since then, more people have gotten accountable for us and can see our worth. This is our time. Dr. Venus needs you to feel your power, and truly know what a difference you can make.
